It seems we had a very short fall and then went straight into winter! The seasonal weather has been a nice change for us.
The frosty mornings are beautiful, and very fun to photograph.
Mostly it’s just frosty in the mornings, but we did have one ice storm. Beautiful but a little scary to drive in. Fortunately, the roads were cleared quickly.
We haven’t seen any real snow yet, but maybe by next month’s Serenity Project there will be.
The Serenity Project is a collaborative photography project featuring photographers who aim to bring a sense of peace and calm to their imagery. Please continue the circle to Amy L Smith Photography To see what brought her some serenity this month.
Totally know what you mean about a short fall season. Seems like we just blinked and it’s gone! You have made winter look full of fresh new photography opportunities. Love these images – the details are simply beautiful. It looks very lovely where you live, although, my goodness…..snow storms sound scary. Gorgeous share Eileen. 💖

Oh what beautiful frosty images! I love the color and tones in the first one, and the textures you were able to capture in all of them! I bet this is quite a change from your last few years of living in warmer states!

Our Fall was super short here, too. These frosty images are amazing! The first 2 look like they are sugar frosted! You must be enjoying new subjects/environments to shoot.

Oh wow – these are gorgeous Eileen. The red with the frost looks gorgeous, especially the second image it looks like sugar on the flower.
I know this is a huge change for you all, living in the Southwest for so long. But I am sure it is fun to see the different season unfold. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work in our monthly blog circle.

Eileen you captured frosty mornings beautifully. Do you think coming from a place where there is hardly any frost makes you look at it differently?

Thank you, Nancy! I do think that’s true, but I also think that’s probably true wherever we have lived. There is beauty everywhere, and if you are new to a place, I think you notice it in a different way than those who have lived with it for a while.
